Nursing Terminology System Comparison Nursing terminology could be described as the formal and informal communication that occurs in a nurses daily activity. According to McGonigle Mastrian (2009) nursing terminology allows nurses to communicate nursing data, information and knowledge specific to nursing. In addition, standardized nursing terminology refers to a system. This means they have undergone approval by a specific authority. The ICN website (2015) reports ICNP was created to improve worldwide healthcare as an integral part of the global information infrastructure to influence health care practice and policy. This database is intended for use by nurses, who can describe and report in detail, nursing assessments and interventions, as opposed to being a system for other clinical healthcare professionals. Because many students find history to be boring, I would make it more fun by making it a hands on activity. So if I were covering the MDE kindergarten history standard K-EI.0.1, â€Å"recognize situations in which people trade,† I would give each student a different object and have them practice their bartering skills (Standards, 2015). There are five ways in which Piaget’s theory of cognitive development and Vygotsky’s theory of the Zone of Proximal Development. The very first way that teachers can use these theories to teach constructively is by providing scaffolded instruction within the ZPD for their students (Snowman and McCown, 2013). In other words, a teacher must be able to assist children in achieving a goal that may be slightly too difficult for them to reach alone. An example of this would be if a teacher had decided that her class should do an experiment on how well plants grow based on the amount of water they receive, she could challenge her students to make a hypothesis about what they think will happen. This teacher could allow her students to individually plant their seeds and then guiding her students to predict or hypothesize what they believe will happen if one plant gets more water than another. It’s hard to find work Apart from the basic hurdles that come with finding a job, international students face more difficult challenges when it comes to the job search process. Employers are unwilling to hire students from abroad because of the perception that hiring an international student is costly, time consuming, and they are likely to end up leaving after 6 months! Employers also worry that if they hire foreign students, they will end up with employees who have poor English skills. Whether these attitudes are valid or not, these fears mean it is hard to get decent jobs, especially with no post-study work visa. 2. If you can get a job, your ability to work is limited!! While EU students have no restriction on the amount of hours they can work, international students can only work 20 hours per week – including voluntary work!! Many international students from abroad are treated like second class citizens at university in the UK. There is a serious lack of adequate ESL/ELD programs, which fundamentally undermine the overall quality and effectiveness of university education. The number of ESL students is highly disproportionate to the amount of ESL and/or Bilingual teachers and without the number of necessary trained ESL/Bilingual teachers, and lack of first language support, students can receive poor marks. 5. Some Universities are only after your money! The misselling of university education to international students is one of the biggest scandals in the UK. Overseas students applying to study in Britain often find themselves forced to pay tuition fees twice in order to secure a place at their chosen college, while others have discovered they have to pay more when they arrive in the country! It is a common perception that International students have lots of money, and so are being misled by their university and are cheated out of thousands of pounds by UK universities, with no avenue to reclaim the money.
